The Celeb-Approved Eye-Cream Trick That Keeps Makeup From Creasing

Besides a different run of show, different venue and the addition of a whole lot of “virtual” cues this awards season, celebrity makeup artist Omayma Ramzy there’s one lesser-known revision to the red carpet glam—and it’s something that can be translated into everyday life.

“With the pandemic, it meant that hair and makeup teams couldn’t travel to the venue, which means that the makeup has to stay put!” shares Ramzy, who worked with singer-songwriter and first-time nominee, Laura Pausini, last night.

Her stay-put tip when glam isn’t on-the-go: “Having too much eye cream can be a bit of a liability—by using the eye cream sparingly [she went with Ole Henriksen Banana Bright, $39, for the classic-glam look], it’s less likely to crease throughout the night.”

Also on the prep list: Keeping it simple with her eponymous green-hued, avocado-fueled facial oil.

“I prep with my Bedouin Elixir—it’s lightweight, fast-absorbing and doesn’t leave a residue, making it perfect for under makeup!”
