This Under-the-Radar Powder Is the Secret to Chrishell Stause’s Voluminous Hair

Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause is no stranger to the world of larger-than-life hair looks—our all-time favorite was her bubble ponytail—but whether she’s going for a casual wave or another show-stopping updo, they all share one common thread: UNITE Hair Expanda Dust ($27), a product her hairstylist Bradley Leake says “adds grit to her soft, silky strands.”

“I love this powder for adding fullness and volume with a little bit of grit to any hairstyle or clients with flat, limp hair,” says Leake. “The key factor with using EXPANDA Dust is to remember, a little goes a long way. I love to tap the product sparingly through the desired styling section, then lift the hair up with my fingers to create volume. I also love to shake EXPANDA Dust through braids for a pulled apart boho vibe.”

A few other products that also live in his kit are L’Oreal Hair Touch Up Spray ($25), which covers up pesky grays or scalp spots, Oribe Straight Away Smoothing Blowout Cream ($44) and ColorWow Dream Coat ($28) to smooth out frayed ends.

See below for our top three favorite looks, all styled by Leake.

According to Leake’s post, these iconic bubble braids were made using a few staples: ColorWow Style on Steroids Texturizing Spray ($26), L’Oreal Hair Touch Up Spray and UNITE Expanda Dust.

To create the look of a real-life mermaid, Leake used Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil ($56), ColorWow Dream Coat and Trademark Beauty Babe Waves ($56).

We wish we could rock this smooth blowout every day of the year. To achieve this look, Leake used Hidden Crown Clip-In Hair Extensions ($99) to add a boost of volume and length, Leonor Greyl Eclat Naturel ($46) to control baby hairs and UNITE Expanda Dust.
