The publisher of Vogue and GQ, which was criticized by employees and readers for lack of diversity last year, published updated figures of employee demographics for the full 2020 year. In the US, 68 percent of its full-time employees are white, while 10 percent are Asian, 7.5 percent are Black and 5.5 percent are Latino.
Within the highest levels fo the company, 54 percent of editors in chief are white, 15 percent are Asian, 15 percent are Black and another 15 percent are multiracial. Of senior leadership, the top three job levels at the company, 77 percent of employees are white, while 10 percent are Asian, 5.5 percent are Black and 3 percent are Latino.
“The steps we have taken and committed to take are just the beginning of our continued and renewed focus on these issues and this important work,” said chief executive Roger Lynch in a statement.
