Sage Green Is the Unofficial Color of Spring 2021

Green is always in season. In fall and winter we like darker forest shades. While in summer, we prefer grassy or even neon hues. But this spring, we’re all about sage green.

The soft green is a perfect way to smoothly transition your wardrobe from winter to spring. It doesn’t look jarring on days when the temperature suddenly drops and it feels like we’re back in the middle of February.

It’s truly soothing with a hint of retro coziness. There’s also something so tranquil about the cool color. Which we’re totally digging right now.

The hue ruled recent runways, too. Max Mara, Ulla Johnson and Jason Wu all included the shade in their respective Spring 2021 shows. They highlighted how sage green can be treated as a neutral and paired with bolder shades. Or layered with beiges, ivories and creams for a neutral ensemble. You can even rock it from head to toe.

We tracked down plenty of sage green options you’ll want to wear all season long. Scroll down to see the best pieces to refresh your wardrobe.
