15 of the Top Content Creators on TikTok

While TikTok might be synonymous with dance videos and lip-sync attempts that will leave you speechless, the platform is also home to other types of content. You can also think of it as social media’s Comedy Central. There are a number of content creators who’ve turned to TikTok to share their comedic videos. Then, what would any social platform be without its fair share of animal videos? Several of the creators featured on our list have realized that their target audience might not be after their moves and have instead turned to their best friend for a duet of some sorts.

One of the features that make TikTok so popular is that a video can basically reach viral status overnight. This means that the top creators and influencers on TikTok can also change quickly.  So, this list isn’t necessarily based on follower count. Instead, we’ve tried to focus on authenticity by finding the TikTok users whose accounts have the most integrity by taking factors like average views, comments per videos, and likes into consideration too.

15 of the Top Content Creators on TikTok:

15 TikTok Content Creator to Watch in 2022

Patrick Barnes is one of the most popular creators of dog videos. His road to TikTok stardom all started when he created videos with his white poodle Quincy during his summer breaks while he was in college. Though, as you would expect, the real star of his content is Quincy. In addition to being able to “sing”, Quincy has a number of other quirks that she shares in short skits to her following of more than two million.

One of his most popular videos is about his reaction to his owner, Patrick, being “attacked” by a vacuum cleaner. The video received more than eight million likes and nearly 78,000 comments. It was also included in Newsweek’s list of the funniest dog videos of 2021.

Based in Chicago, Illinois, Jenn Melon is a comedy content creator and social media personality. While she might have “only” two million followers on TikTok, some of her videos attract as many as 35 million views. What’s more, in total she has received more than 123 million likes on the platform. Other than that, not much is known about this up-and-coming TikTok creator.

While he has only a few videos under his TikTok account, HypeAuditor has listed Joshua Garcia, a Filipino actor, as one of the top TikTok creators based on authenticity. He’s definitely one of the TikTok creators who you want to keep your eye on in 2022. To give you an idea, one of his dance videos managed to generate 20 million views in just 22 hours after he uploaded it.

He first joined TikTok in December 2021. In the four months that he’s been on the platform, he has already built his following to 5.6 million followers and his content has received nearly 31 million likes in total.

How Ridiculous is like Australia’s version of Dude Perfect. And, if you aren’t familiar with Dude Perfect yet, basically it’s a bunch of guys getting up to ridiculous challenges, trick shots, and experiments. How ridiculous, you ask? One of their most-viewed videos on TikTok is of how they pop a 40-feet balloon in slow motion. More often, they drop objects, like bowling balls and household appliances, onto other objects from 40+ meters.

It all started when the trio, that consists of Brett Stanford, Derek Herron, and Scott Gaunson, met at church. Fast-forward 13 years and they have more than 11 million followers on TikTok and nearly 230 million likes. According to HypeAuditor, their videos attract more than 68 views on average.

In addition to TikTok, they also have a huge following on YouTube where you can find over 360 videos. For more ridiculous content, you can also check out their Instagram account.

Charli D’Amelio is one of the biggest stars on TikTok and as of March 2022 she’s also the TikTok user with the most followers on the platform according to Socialtracker. As TikTok is basically synonymous with dance videos, it comes as no real surprise that Charli managed to climb the ranks of TikTok with her dance videos.

Her dance content might have reached viral status on TikTok, but she has also managed to expand her success to other mediums including TV. For example, in 2020 she appeared on The Tonight Show. In addition, she also started her own TV show, The D’Amelio Show in which she stars as herself in the main role.

Her content has landed her numerous nominations and awards that include Creator of the Year and Breakout Creator. She might have only joined TikTok a few years ago, but already her list of achievements is too long to mention.

Most recently, she has earned a nomination for a Kids’ Choice Award in the Favorite Female Creator. Other well-known names that are nominated for this award include Addison Rae and Emma Chamberlain. Another major milestone that she’s celebrated recently is moving out of her parents house. Considering that she’s only 17, it makes everything that she has managed to achieve on (and without) TikTok just more impressive.

Born in Senegal, Khaby (more formally known as Khabane) is another comedy content creator who’s had huge success on TikTok. His tale is one of how a creator managed to monetize social media platforms after retrenchment (he is one of the millions of people who lost their jobs because of the COVID-19 pandemic).

Arguably the secret to his success on TikTok is his unique style. Without saying a word, he relies on his signature facial expressions to create short comedy skits about how people overcomplicate straightforward tasks such as cutting a cake or opening a car door.

This recipe has helped him to attract more than 134 million followers on TikTok. What’s even more impressive is that his content has received over two billion likes to date.

For more dance content, you can also check out Fernan Floo (or more formally known as Luis Fernando Flores Alvarado). Hailing from El Salvador, he’s one of the male creators on TikTok with the biggest followings with more than 13 million.

That said, not all his TikTok videos are about how he masters difficult dance steps. Most recently, he uploaded a video in which he attempted to recreate the famous dance sequence of Rauw Alejandro. Though, he miscalculated the space available and instead the result is a light bulb that comes crashing down. Fortunately, his reputation on the platform remained intact and the video received over 18 million views and three million hearts.

Before joining TikTok, he created a YouTube channel where his biggest audience can be found. Unlike TikTok where he shares mostly dance content, his YouTube channel is mostly dedicated to funny gaming videos.

Mark Cannataro is a video content creator who’s based in Toronto. According to his LinkedIn profile, he started Mark Cannataro Films more than six years ago in November 2015, but only joined TikTok in April 2021.

Alyssa Lauren is better known for the content that she creates for and shares on YouTube. The celebrity video creator stars on the Trey and Alyssa YouTube channel, a couples channel where the duo participates in games, challenges, and mukbang (a type of eating show that’s well-known in Asia).

While she might not have millions of followers on TikTok yet, her videos get millions of views on average, according to HypeAuditor. Plus, on average, her videos get 1.6 million likes. So, if you like food challenges, be sure to check out her videos. From spicy wings and chips to vegan tacos, her TikTok videos prove that variety is the spice of life.

Nick Kroll has many titles. On his personal website, he describes himself as one of the most sought-after creators, actors, producers, and writers. The New York Times has called him “the Picasso of Puberty”, while Vanity Fair has described the Emmy-nominated Netflix series Big Mouth that he has co-created as one of the most honest portrayals of growing up. In fact, not only is he a man of many titles, but also one of many voices. In Big Mouth, he also performs more than 30 voices.

On TikTok he has 1.4 million followers. According to Hype Auditor, his videos get viewed about 8.5 million times on average.

If you prefer to catch him on TV, he has created a new TV show, Human Resources, that’s set to premiere on Netflix in March 2022. The show’s setting will be similar to Big Mouth, but will focus on workplace comedy.

Kervo Dolo is a model and TikTok creator from the US. He mainly focuses on sharing comedy, but uploads videos in which he dances and lip-syncs too. If you like Khaby’s style of content, you can also check out his TikTok account.

At the time of writing this article, he had nearly seven million followers. Plus, according to HypeAuditor, his videos generate nearly 10,000 comments on average showing that he’s found a recipe to get his target audience engaged.

Tucker Budzyn has managed to retrieve a lot of gold for his owner, the actual creator behind the Tucker Budzyn TikTok account. According to The National, he’s one of the top 10 richest pets in the world whose estimated worth is calculated at $1.5 million.

If you can’t get enough of dog videos, you would be glad to hear that Tucker also recently became a dad to Todd. We bet his human Linda is also happy for this extra golden opportunity to create more content.

According to HypeAuditor, the adventures of Tucker (and Todd) get on average about 5.6 million views. And, who can resist not sharing those adorable balls of fluff? Definitely not their loyal following of 10 million TikTok users. HypeAuditor also reveals that their videos get shared nearly 40,000 times on average. That’s even more shares than Charli D’Amelio.

For cooking content, be sure to check out B. Dylan Hollis on TikTok. While he posts basically anything on TikTok, the Bermudian creator and musician has lately focused mainly on what he gets up to in the kitchen.

Most recently, he shared a video in which he bakes a century-old dessert – water pie. While his video might have reached viral status, his view of the dish is anything but impressive. Unlike his treats, his humor is dry. So, if that sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a chair and get ready to be treated to some vintage cooking and a good dose of laughter.

While most of the top creators on TikTok focus on creating dance videos, Kimberly Loaiza tries to focus on music too. Hailing from Mexico, she’s currently listed as the third most authentic influencer in Mexico and one of the top most authentic influencers across the world.

In addition to her dance and music content, she’s also well-known for her challenge videos and vlogs. She also recently shared a new song and music video to celebrate the first birthday of her son.

Sabrina is a professional dancer, video creator, and cosplayer. If you’re wondering how she manages to pull off some of her moves, she’s also a certified STOTT pilates instructor. So, don’t beat up yourself for not being able to recreate her dance videos in front of the mirror.

Since she posted her first TikTok video nearly three years ago, her content has received more than 14 million likes.
