Grammys 2021: Cardi B Wears Pastel-Pink Pixie Cut Wig From Tokyo Stylez — Interview

Cardi B, one of the performers at the 2021 Grammys, just revealed her look for the night. As usual, she looks absolutely fantastic — and she’s switching up her look in a way we rarely get to see at celebrity-studded events such as this one. To match her metallic and futuristic wardrobe, Cardi wore a pastel-pink pixie with a deep side-part.

Cardi’s right-hand glam team is responsible for this look, much like many of the rapper’s other iconic looks. Makeup artist Erika La’Pearl achieved that classic Cardi beat with products by Pat McGrath Labs. Specifically, she used Skin Fetish Primer, Foundation, and Setting Powder to achieve Cardi’s smooth complexion. On Cardi’s eyes is the Mothership 5 Bronze Seduction Palette and PermaGel Eyeliner Pencil; Lust Gloss in Flesh Astral tops of the look off on the lips.

Hairstylist Toyko Stylez used Joico products to achieve Cardi’s cotton-candy style. As she tells Allure exclusively, she decided on this super-short style immediately after seeing Cardi’s prepared outfit for the night. “I always work with Kollin [Carter, Cardi’s stylist], to see the wardrobe early, and felt it would be better to go with short hair so that the wardrobe stands out for the performance,” Stylez says. “We did this hairstyle in black the night before and Cardi loved it, so we did the same thing in rose gold [for Grammy night].”
