When Jada Pinkett Smith released her 10-minute long “Skin Restarter” routine on Instagram back in December, she showed the world just how knowledgable she is when it comes to all things beauty and skin care. Lucky for us, the 49-year-old is not only full of tips, but she’s offering a taste of her secret sauce with her new personal care line, Hey Humans, launching exclusively at Target today.
In a launch video, which the Girls Trip star posted on her Instagram yesterday, she breaks down the inspiration behind the brand. “As you may know, personal care is one of my passions, but so is sustainability,” she says. “As a family, we have loved supporting Jaden on his journey with Just Water, and now we have Hey Humans, which I am proud to present as the first personal care brand to to be 99-percent plastic-free across categories.”
Included in the 20-product line is everything from a eucalyptus-infused toothpaste to a banana-scented body wash, but what we’re most excited about is the price. Everything in the line is $6 or under, including the nourishing Hey Humans Body Lotion Lavender Vanilla ($60) and the Hey Humans Natural Deodorant Cedarwood Sage ($5).
Price point aside, all of the products are formulated with naturally sourced, high-quality ingredients including calming sage, hydrating coconut oil, softening jojoba seed oil and soothing aloe vera. In the launch video, Jada also points out that all ingredients used are naturally-sourced.
“Hey humans, I’m hoping that you will join me in the effort to care for our planet, through the choice of products we use to care for ourselves,” says Jada at the end of her video. If there’s any initiative we want to take part of, it’s this one.
