“Self-care is very important to me, especially when I travel. I just got back from India and it’s a pretty tough time difference—10.5 hours ahead. You need to take care of yourself or you can’t perform your best. Even if it’s something as simple as drinking enough water or making sure you’re eating three to four times a day. I make an effort to remind myself to get up and drink water because when I am working, the day flies by. I also try to do a couple of extra pampering-hydration treatments when I fly. Then, I take some time at the end of the day to do some meditation and breathing exercises. When you’re on a busy schedule, five minutes makes such a big difference.”
