Delhi Fashion Club partners with Assocham for bridal beauty event

The Delhi Fashion Club held a ‘Bridal Beauty Sustainable Show’ in partnership with Assocham at The Lalit hotel in New Delhi. The fashion show was designed to promote models and makeup artists as well as skills development and women empowerment. 

“In an era when we always talk about promoting talents in fashion industry, everyone always thinks of models and designers only but a new initiative was launched by Delhi Fashion Club in association with Assocham to promote not only models but also make up artists,” Delhi Fashion Club announced in a press release on February 27. “Make up and hair styling is an important skill for self employment and create more job opportunities.”
 
The showcase focused on using sustainable and natural beauty and haircare products on the models to promote a chemical-free approach to beauty. Natural materials such as flowers were also used in place of accessories such as plastic jewellery to further highlight the importance of eco-friendly beauty for the environment while showcasing how it can be a positive addition to a high fashion look. 

The event saw models styled as brides from different cultures such as a Christian bride with Manipur Zou tribe accessories, a Northeast Naga tribal fusion bride, a Bengali traditional bride , and a Radhe Krishna inspired brideamong others. This was designed to promote cultural unity and diversity and celebrate the skills of the participating makeup artists and hair stylists, according to Delhi Fashion Club.
