Manish Malhotra holds first ever ‘Fashion Soiree’

Designer Manish Malhotra held his first ever ‘Fashion Soiree’ to present his latest men’s and women’s occasion and wedding wear collection ‘Khaab Couture’. The event also celebrated the nine year anniversary of Manish Malhotra’s flagship store in New Delhi. 

“India’s first ever Fashion Soiree hosted by our trailblazer founder and reformer, Manish Malhotra sets the stage for a high aesthetic experience to celebrate nine years of the Manish Malhotra flagship store Delhi with cocktails and couture representation where intricate craft, zeitgeist artistry, and youthful hues dominate the evening,” the brand announced on Facebook on December 14. 
 
Models walked the runway in the Delhi flagship store as guests revelled in the festive atmosphere. While some occasion wear looks for women featured exposed skin and opulent glitter embellishments, others had just as much sparkle but covered up in kaftan esque styles. Silver, white, emerald green, and black made for a rich colour palette and more pastel hued gowns added a youthful feel. 

For the men, sleek black suits were elevated by a sparkly collar or tie-neck shirt and more flamboyant featured white lace and oversized bows. The collection featured a diaphanous women’s bridal look which comprised a voluminous lehenga, layers of sheer, ruffled textiles, and a glittering blouse shining from underneath. 
 
Bollywood celebrity Vaani Kapoor walked the runway wearing a crystal embellished blouse with statement 3D, hand embellished and crocheted shoulder ruffles. This was paired with an ivory slim thread-work skirt and an over-layer of silk fabric as a trailing skirt, attached with a hand-embellished pearl belt, the brand announced on Facebook.
