One of our favorite times of year has arrived. We’re not talking about summer, though. We’re excited because designers are dropping their resort offerings. While we’ll always have a place in our hearts for the spring, fall and haute couture compilations, the current season always delivers a bounty of bold and beautiful ensembles for us to fawn over. Thankfully, the Resort 2023 collections are no exception.
Despite it being an “off season,” there are plenty of trends. Get ready to go big or go home because exaggerated collars are literally everywhere. Actually exaggerated is an understatement. They’re mammoth. Wondering how to wear them? Well, The Row balanced them out with extended sleeves. Although that trick may not exactly be real world-appropriate.
Not surprisingly, hot pink clearly dominated. Probably inspired in large part by Valentino’s now notorious Fall 2022 presentation. Vivid floral prints are here to brighten up your wardrobe. Another pattern? Leopard. We expect Roberto Cavalli to give us a few fierce looks, even if the brand reimagines the spots. But others, like Carolina Herrera, are also embracing the classic design in truly chic ways.
