Most of us consider September the most fashionable month on the calendar. It’s when magazines drop their biggest issues of the year. Not to mention fashion month kicking off in New York before heading to London and Milan. (The Paris shows usually happen in the beginning of October.) But August has a lot going for it on the sartorial front thanks to Copenhagen Fashion Week.
As expected, the street style outfits from Copenhagen Fashion Week Spring 2023 are quirky, trendy and actually pretty wearable IRL. Which isn’t always true when it comes to street style. If you’re looking for guidance on how to stay comfy during brutally hot temperatures and how to transition to chillier fall days, your search is over.
Some of the biggest takeaways? Sporting a bra top or even a sports bra under a striking button-down or blazer is a great method to keep cool/warm. The ensembles also serve as a master class on how to rock cut-outs without showing more than you intend. Just FYI: Midriff flossing isn’t going anywhere. Neither are those hotly debated Miu Miu micro skirts.
Footwear is another interesting and frankly controversial category. Cowboy boots and Crocs appear to have some real staying power. Prepare yourself because, like it or not, flaunting socks with sandals or really any shoes is back in a big way.
