The Best “Clean” Cleaning Products

Given how many affordable alternatives there are, there really aren’t any reasons to use mainstream brands like Tide given that they’re known to be loaded in toxins. If you’re looking for some inspiration as far as alternatives, we’ve rounded up some of the best ones.

Grove Co.

Grove Co. makes sustainable cleaning and home essentials including dish soap, hand soap and a multi-purposes cleaner concentrate made with 92% plant-based ingredients. This concentrate is proven to cut 2x more grease than other natural brands and has avoided over 1,477,274 lbs of plastic from entering landfills since its launch.

Honest

In addition to baby products, beauty and makeup, Honest makes natural and organic cleaning and laundry products.

AspenClean

AspenClean is an eco-friendly and chemical-free alternative to cleaning products. They’re the first company to have a cleaning product certified by the Environmental Working Group and their products are formulated only from plant and mineral-derived ingredients. Plus, they come in packaging made from 50% post-consumer resin.

Luum

Luum is a natural, all-purpose cleaning agent known for its ability to remove grease, hard water deposits and stains. All you do is fill a Luum bottle with warm water, drop in their tablet and essential oil, shake and spray. It’s free of dyes, fragrances, harsh chemicals and toxins.

Mrs. Meyer’s

Mrs. Meyer’s has an extensive line of cleaning and home products including the brand’s Clean Day Probiotic Cleaners, which contain a blend of bacillus spores that works to break down household soils like grime and grease (yup, probiotics aren’t only for the supplement and dairy aisles!). Their products are made with essential oils and recyclable packaging.

Kinfill

Kinfill makes concentrates that you blend at home with tap water. All products – like tub & tile cleaner, floor cleaner, glass & mirror cleaner – are made with natural ingredients. Kinfill products are biodegradable, vegan and cruelty-free and they don’t contain chlorides, palm oil, parabens, silicones, surfactants and citric acids.

Bona

Bona cleaner is a pH-neutral cleaner for hardwood floors and far away the most effective product for hardwood floors. All you do is spray and mop and the water-based, biodegradable, paraben-, phthalate-, and phosphate-free formula works amazingly well for all unwaxed hardwood floors. Plus, they sell refills to help save money and the environment.
