Immersive Metaverse Skateparks : Tony Hawk LAND

Popular mobile game The Sandbox has teamed up with Tony Hawk Inc. and Autograph, the Tom Brady co-founded NFT platform focused on sports entertainment, to launch ‘Tony Hawk LAND.’

Tony Hawk LAND will be opened in The Sandbox metaverse, marking a first for the skateboard legend. According to a recent press release, the three brands will work together to build the world’s largest virtual skate park on the platform. In addition, Autograph will begin selling Tony Hawk NFTs, which will feature skateboards, apparel, and equipment. The newly created NFTs can then be activated and operated in The Sandbox metaverse, providing additional value for their owners.

“I have been a fan of new technology all of my life — from the first videogames and home computers with CGI capabilities — so I am fascinated by the metaverse, and excited to bring our culture into the virtual landscape of The Sandbox,” said Tony Hawk, in a recent interview.
